I now own two Graco ComfortSport car seats- a metropolitan that stays in my car and this one, which I am constantly installing in other people's cars. I made my purchases after reading gobs of reviews. I had a few concerns: I thought the length of the straps would be difficult to adjust. Living in Alaska, I knew the bulk of my little boys clothes would change regularly and I was afraid adjusting the straps would be a pain- like on the infant carrier. To my surprise I have found that the comfortsport strap system is a breeze to adjust! Pull the plastic tab and the straps come out as far as you like- pull the strap without the tab to tighten- tada! Some people complain that their straps are always uneven because both straps go on one clip in the back. To remedy this, loosen BOTH the straps all the way, then tighten again and they will be the same length.
br /Another issue: I wanted a cushy car seat for my son because we garage sale for HOURS every Saturday from May-September. With this in mind I purchased the metropolitan for our car. Unfortunately, he is going to grow out of the metropolitan several inches before he grows out of this one- it has a LOT of padding. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered this one- it seems to have the perfect amount of plush. He really looks more comfy in it than the other.
br /I needed a smaller car seat because I have a 2003 Ford Focus Hatchback (2 door). If you have this disadvantage also, this car seat fits great in the middle of the backseat- with room to sit beside it and install your child! In fact, you can still have two other people in the back seat more comfortably than with a snugride infant carrier. If you are pretty short- or maybe your husband doesn't drive the car you could install it rear-facing on either side with the seat pulled forward a bit. - and really, just a bit- you wouldn't have to have your knees in the dash or anything.
br /You really do need a rolled towel, blanket, piece of swimming noodle or whatever you prefer to make the seat level in most cars. This doesn't bother me, but some parents worry that it compromises safety.
br /Finally, This car seat looks really ugly to me in the pictures on the internet and the packaging, but the actual seat looks great. It's just a nice navy and medium gray- not light gray like it looks like it is. It looks like the kind of color scheme a guys shoes would have- so don't let the scary pictures turn you off.
br /Happy Car Seat Shopping!

I love this car seat.

I love this car seat. I am very satisfied with my purchase. For the price, the quality is definitely there. My daughter is tall for 14 months, and now she sits comfortably facing forward, and has access to her water cup and her snack in the side tray next to her. We both love it. The material is a little rough, but that just means that it's durable, and won't fall apart during washing.I just put a blanket over it also. I would recommend that anyone who buys this car seat, place a piece of velcro on the back of the head rest to keep it up. It constantly falling down bothered my baby, which bothered me. It was very easy to install into the vehicle.

We have this carseat but in a different print. We have used this carseat since our baby was born. We decided to skip the carseats you can carry, and just go with this... and we're glad we did. Very easy to install, and very easy to adjust the straps as well. Getting baby in and out is easy as well. Very high quality.

This was for our second vehicle. Great basic car seat. Not a lot of useless extras but all the basic comfort safety features. Not the very cheapest out there but definitely worth the extra $ over the very low end models we looked at.

I bought two of these seats for my twins. Everyone was talking about how great the Britax seats were- however at that price, they better be made of gold. I did some research and found that two of the Britax seats had been recalled and while one of the Graco ComfortSport seats was also recalled, this one was not. It is so simple to install. It is sturdy and when it's installed correctly, it isn't going anywhere. The harness is easy to adjust, the shoudler pads are great for when the girls fall asleep in the car. The LATCH hooks are a little annoying to remove- the anchor latches on the Britax were the winner in this comparison. But, for the price, the saftey and the adorable easy to clean factors, this is the best car seat. Buy one for each vehicle!

A great car seat!

I have had this car seat for about 2 years now and it has been fabulous! I have had no problems with anything breaking whatsoever. I really enjoy how easy it is to adjust the straps and I especially like that the cover is removable and machine washable. The cover stays pretty clean on its own, though, since it is the type of fabric that you can just wipe down to make it clean. I love this carseat and would recommend it to anyone!

Graco has made some improvements since we bought a ComfortSport for my husband's car 2 years ago. I ordered this one for my mom - she liked it because it matched the interior of her new car. I think so far she likes it. The adjustments were a little tricky, but installation very simple. I personally like my Britax better, but for a grandparent or second vehicle, this one is great. Much much much better than the Eddie Bauer 3-in-1!!!

I just bought this car seat a few weeks ago from Amazon and I love it. Originally I bought the Graco Nautilus car seat because of all the great reviews. It had a lot of nice features, but my little boy just didn't like it. He cried every time he got in it. With this car seat it is so comfy and roomy for him and he really likes riding in it. It sits higher than other car seats so he can see out of the window better and there is a lot of padding to make it comfortable. It also has sides that he can lean his head on easily to go to sleep. I don't have the latch system in my car, but it was very easy to install and very stable. I also really love the color. It is very neutral and looks even better than the picture. The cover comes off very easily to wash. Overall I think this carseat is wonderful and I highly recommend it.

I am a Graco fan and have Graco everything. I have 3 kids and I trust Graco for products that are affordable and durable. This carseat is just that - it's your basic, durable, Graco car seat. My last one that was just like this lasted 5 years, so I'm expecting the same out of this one. I was nervous as I looked at the picture before I ordered it because I felt like the material looked a little cheap, however, when it got here I realized that it was of much better quality than it looked. I definitely recommend this car seat. In fact, I purchased 2 of these - 1 for my 1 year old, and the other for my 3 year old.

This car seat works perfectly for my 9 month old baby girl. She is 20 lbs already so I needed to get her out of the infant carrier. I had a policeman install it so that it was in properly. He said it was a great and safe seat. It looks good too-which is what I cared about also; well besides safety of course!

We got this for my 6mo old daughter when she outgrew the snugride. It was very soft and seems comfy. It was also very easy to work the straps and very easy to install. We have not used it forward faceing yet.

I have used this product in 2 different models for my two sons. We have one in each of our cars and even one in Grandma's. The seat is easy to operate, easy to install and quite user friendly. It is sturdy and worth the extra $$$ over the low end brands. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive brands but I haven't missed them and have actually enjoyed the easier entry/exit this affords after helping other people load their kids into the bulkier competitor models.

I don't know if I am using this car seat right? We got it because he is too long for his infant seat and he is four 1/2 mo old. When we put him in it his head flopped forward. We tilted it as much as would allow in our cars but the seat is so big that it just didn't work out. I tried those snuzzler things but that didn't help either. I just don't see how this seat could work for a new baby when my almost five mo. old can't sit in it yet. He is back in his infant seat for a while. The seat itself is fine and was shipped perfectly, I would just make sure that your child can keep his/her head up by his/herself really well before using this seat!

I bought this car seat for my grandson. He has outgrown his first car seat and needed a bigger one. My daughter loves the seat. It has lots of room for him.( he weights 21 lbs now) It is easy to transfer to another car if needed and it is very safe. He can still ride backwards for now and then it can turn forward facing when he gets bigger.

Ok let me start by saying my daughter is a princess and she lets us know that. She hates being put down, hates the swing, hates anything that is not on her terms. She LOVES this car seat. After reading the reviews I almost didnt get this one, but it was so soft. So I got it anyway. She doesnt cry, her head doesnt flop forward or to the side when she falls alseep either. She is 5 1/2 months and again hated her infant car seat. So I would recommand this carseat.

I have purchased the Graco Comfort Sport based on the reviews on Amazon and the generally good crash test ratings. We also own a Britax Roundabout (our primary car seat) installed in a Volvo. The plan was to have the Graco as a second car seat in my BMW. Our child is a little over 20lb. and has outgrown the infant seat, thus we decided to buy convertible car seats. For maximum safety, it is recommended to keep your child rear facing as long as possible (and the weight limit on the Graco for this is 30lb., on the Britax it's 35lb.). Upon installation of the Graco, I was really shocked at how poorely a fit this car seat is in the rear facing position. Since the center rear seat is by far the safest, and preferred, I tried installing the Graco with the seat belt option (since most cars have no latch connectors for the center seat). Upon reading the manual and trying the installation, I was shocked to discover that the Graco has no seat belt cutoff (unlike many other car seats). As such, the car seat installation primarily depends on the locking feature of the automatic seat belt (which you will never get as tight as needed). After proper installation in rear facing position, I pulled the seat belt as tight as I could (I am 6 ft, 180lb.), and yet I could pull the seat side to side several inches, downright scary. Keep in mind that most car seats in a rear facing installation will not be very tight, since there is no side hugging the back of the seat (unlike in a forward seating position). The manual also mentioned several times that you MUST NOT use the tether strap in the rear-facing position. After some research on the web, I found out that only Britax and the Radian car seats are approved to use a tether strap in the rear-facing position. For all other car seats, it says it must not be used under any circumstances. When installing the Britax, only after the tether was connected tightly, I felt that the seat was really solidly installed.
br /I then bit the bullet and wanted to install the Graco in a forward facing position. Together with the tether strap, that allows for a somewhat solid installation, but I am still bummed by the non-existant seat belt lockoffs. Also, the seat is pretty wide and (compared to the Britax Roundabout) and makes sitting next to it (when installed in the center seat) extremely cumbersome, even installed in a pretty spacious 5 series BMW.
br /In general, I would not recommend this car seat due to the installation difficulty and possibility of not being able to achieve a solid fit. Also, keep in mind that you should keep your kid in the CENTER rear seat, and rear-facing as long as possible. The center seat is best since it will protect your child in a collision from the side. The rear-facing position is ideal since most collisions are happening frontal, and while you might merely get some whiplash, a forward-facing child might occur spinal injury causing death. As a result, I would not recommend any car seat but the Britax or Sunshine Radian seats.

Sold by Amazon.com, listed as brand new item. Thing is the car seat looks like an open-box item. It is simply put in the box without any protection or any plastic wrap. Anyway, my daughter seems enjoy her new car seat.

Let me start by saying that this car seat is pretty easy to install. The problem comes in when you want to remove it from the car. I use the LATCH system to secure the seat (recommended by Graco and by my vehicle manufacturer's guidebook), and the lower anchor connection gets stuck in a lock position. The only way to remove the seat is to unhook this connection, but it can literally take up to an hour and many hand, nail, and finger injuries to accomplish this.
br /
br /I called Graco and asked for a refund or exchange of this seat, explaining that the only way to remove it from my vehicle was to cut the straps, thus rendering it completely useless. They said they would only accommodate my request if the problem was a manufacturer defect. The customer service rep said that I couldn't unhook the anchor because obviously I was not 'doing it right'. I explained that the top anchor is designed EXACTLY the same as the lower, and that I never have a problem unhooking the top one, so the problem is with the seat, and not with my method. She responded by saying "Yeah, we get a lot of people calling with the same complaint. The only thing I can tell you is keep tugging and adjusting it. It will eventually come loose." Well, two broken nails, two bleeding knuckles, and an hour and fifteen minutes later, she was right, it did come loose. It seems to me that if this is a common complaint, then it IS a manufacturer's defect.
br /
br /Also, I have had this car seat for six months, and it is already falling apart. The elastic around the cushion that secures it to the seat is frayed and torn after two washings on the gentle cycle (as described in the user manual), and the clips that hold the cushion on were bent and didn't hold from the first time I put the seat together. It is obviously very cheaply made.
br /
br /I should have taken this seat back to the store the day I bought it!

I have this car seat and I DO NOT like it at all. Ihave had such a horrible time with this I will never even buy this brand again. After using it and washing it once or twice the clips would not stay in to hold the cover in place so I called Graco and they sent me some more. The lady I spoke to couldn't even tell how many went on the car seat I had to go out to the Jeep and look myself. But before I got them in the mail the foam broke off from the cover sagging on it. When I got the peices it really didn't make a difference because the new ones wouldn't stay in either So I now have car seat that after taxes I paid $100 for. I don't believe any company has the right to stay in bussiness by selling and not replacing bad merchandise. But that just means I have to tell more people hpw sorry this seat was so nobody else gets stuck with a pricey peice of junk..
