With the recent addition to our family, we now have three children--two in boosters and one in a car seat. We have a mid-sized wagon and didn't want to sell our car just to find one that better fit our children. So, we focused our attention on car seats and boosters. We found a car seat for the baby that was narrower than most (and yet had better safety ratings). Then we focused on the boosters. Our previous boosters were just the bases but even they were tight with the baby's car seat and the kids couldn't buckle themselves. We finally found these Britax boosters. Even though they are full size (not just the bases) they are narrower at the hip which allows our children to buckle in by themselves. The other thing we love is the built-in headrests. Our children's heads are no longer flopping around when they sleep and they are protected from side impacts. That's the other thing about these seats--they have so much side impact protection around the head and the torso. These things are great and they look pretty cool too--almost like a professional racing seat! I'd highly recommend these to anyone with small children. Our kids love them too!

We have had this Booster for 7 months now and it is the best one yet. The headrest and side impact protection is incredible. My son never complains about this seat and he complained everyday about his old one. We could not be happier with this product.

I purchased this seat in September of 2007, I started using it in January 2008. The fabric on the "head-rest" kept coming unlatched and after the 30th time I tried to re-secure it the styrofoam that it is made of snapped in half! When I contacted the company they offered to send me a new piece of styrofoam to replace it, and suggested I use duct tape in the meantime. Yah...i'm feeling safe about this...Also the cup holders are useless. Every type of cup we tried either does not fit or falls over immediately. Also, this car seat is listed as "RETIRED" on the BRITAX website, and I was told they are replacing it with the Frontier model. On a good note, I would use nothing but Britax, just not this one!
Surprised at how light this is...

I bought this for my almost 4 year old son because he had outgrown our Britax Marathon. I was really surprised at how light and flimsy it appears to be. I just couldn't justify putting him in this yet, especially when I realized it's not secured to the vehicle in any way other than the seatbelt. I sent it back and went with the Regent instead. Although the Regent is HUGE, I feel my son is much more safe.

Purchased two units based upon recommendation. Well built but headrest mechanism does not lock in place without physical manipulation at the back. Adjustment is difficult with a child in the seat.
Sturdy product with some limitations

In my opinion, Britax makes the best carseats and this one is no exception. It is sturdy and well made. The side headrests are a real plus when kids fall asleep or when they are tired and need to "rest their head." Britax states that this carseat is for kids upto 60 inches tall and 100 pounds. I don't think so! The bodice of the seat is very narrow. It couldn't possibly accomodate a chubbier child comfortably. My child is five and weighs 40LBs. Even then, she says it feels a bit tight around her body. There isn't much room for her to move (which is probably a good safety thing) but I can't imagine her using this seat for too much longer.

This is a very comfortable seat for my 5 year old who I feel is too small for just a regular booster. It was actually a replacement seat for the same model which performed well in a car accident we were recently in. I would recommend it for both comfort and safety.

Don't skimp on your child's safety in the car! Britax is definitely worth the money and one of the best seat makers in the market. We originally purchased a Graco TurboBooster for my husband's Toyota Tacoma truck, and we quickly came to realize that the Graco seat does not sit nearly as high as the Parkway (critical for correct seat belt positioning). The Graco TB also has very little side impact protection in contrast to the Britax Parkway. It just feels flimsy all the way around and seems to move easily on the seat. The Britax Parkway does not move around on the seat -it has a slip resistant base, and it is just more substanial all the way around. The Britax Parkway provides the appropriate cushion height, comfort, total side impact protection "wings," and it is very stylish as well if that matters to you. It is durable, well made and moves easily from car to car. For our other vehicle (Acura MDX) we still use a 5-pt harnessed seat (the Britax Regent) which is best to use as long as your child does not exceed the weight/height (the Regent is designed to be the seat your child will not outgrow quickly). We have a very tall 4 1/2 year old (nearly 44"), and the Regent will be his seat for still some time to come. Please visit www.kyledavidmiller.org to learn more about the right seat for your child. While the stories on this site are extremely heartbreaking, it is a much needed wake-up call for ensuring your child is in the right seat at the right time based on age, maturity, size, etc. God bless little Kyle and the many others that have been lost.
Great booster...hard to go wrong with Britax though

After owning 3 carseats (Marathon, Decathlon and Wizard) by Britax, it came as no surprise that we went for the same brand when our son turned 4.

br /Our boy has enjoyed the sturdiness, reliability and comfort of this seat, as well as the comfy wings that he often rests his head on on long drives, instead of flopping it all over the place in his sleep.

br /Definitely recommend for your little ones!

I upgraded to this booster seat for both my 7 year old and almost 9 year old. Their old Graco/Century seats were expired/expiring soon and a new law in MI (in effect July 1st) requires that they remain in booster seats - which is just fine by me.

br /Both of my kids have commented on the comfort of these booster seats (compared to their old ones) and they both love the wrap-around headrests and lack of armrests which was an annoyance with their old boosters.
br /
br /I would buy these again and recommend them highly.

I bought this booster seat for my 3 year old son. He likes it so much. He said it looks cool and I am loving the headrest. It gives great head and neck support when my son takes his little nap in the car. The seat belt position perfect. Only bad thing about it is that the cupholders are useless and my son got so used to having cupholder from his old car seat but luckily our car has plenty of cupholders. Overall it is a great seat and we really like it.
