My mother-in-law bought this for my daughter to use at her house, and it's great!
br /
br /PROS:
br /It folds down easily
br /Opens up just as easily
br /3-point harness for safety
br /Clips are STRONG
br /Tightens down under chair and behind chair easily, but holds really well too (even if my daughter kicks and wiggles in her chair, the straps don't loosen up)
br /To sum it up... safe, strong, easy, easy, easy! :-)
br /
br /CONS:
br /Hmm, I can't really think of one! I just wish I bought this one for us instead of the fold-n-go seat!
br /
br /I highly recommend!

Secure, but deflation is an issue

The chair has a great system for securing itself to a "big person" chair, which I love. But, our seat will not stay inflated, once our 2.5 year old son sits on it, it slowly deflates on the right side. We've checked the seat, the seal, the plug and can't find a leak. Perhaps it's defective, but I can't get the company who makes it, or the company who sold it to respond to customer service queries.
br /
br /I really wish that it had worked for us, it's a great concept...but, at least in our experience, the implementation wasn't as good as the concept.

i really enjoy it! And use it every day!

I love this chair! I bought it when I traveled overseas and needed a small seat that would fit in my luggage and not take too much space. I was amazed how sturdy, easy to clean and safe this seat is. So you can have an idea how well strapped it is, my son was throwing a tantrun at the table when he pushed himself away from the table with his feet, the chair tipped over. He was still strapped and on place, he only fell because the chair he was on had a very light weight. We not only use it for eatting out but also at home. And people please, this is supposed to be for feeding, not a diaper bag, no wonder why its not sturdy enough! The price is also great :)

Of all booster seats I have seen or used, this is the handiest and most effective. It holds the child in place, allows the child to sit close to the table, and is easily cleaned.

It's so great, I bought a spare!!!

Both my husband and I really love this booster seat. We started using it when our son was ready to get out of the restaurant's high chairs but wasn't ready for standard booster seat. The high chair was uncomfortable for him to get in and out of, but I wasn't ready for him to have the freedom the regular booster seats allow. When I found this seat I was pretty excited. And I haven't been disappointed. We've been using it for about a year now and I've just gotten to where I keep it in the car.

The seat buckles to both the back and the seat of the chair keeping it in place. However, if the chair has a rounded shape like the one in the picture on this site, I recommend wrapping the straps on the first rung inside of the rounded rung. And rung probably isn't the right term, but I hope you understand. The reason for doing it this way is I've had the straps slide up the rounded rung and off the back of the chair negating its purpose.

Other things I like about the on-the-go booster is that it's lightweight, easy to clean, and is not bulky. It's also easy to carry around because it velcros closed and has a carrying handle.

To inflate, you simply unzip the bottom section and open the valve. Then close the valve to keep the seat inflated.

To deflate, open the valve and apply pressure to the seat removing the air. Close the valve and zip closed. It's truely that easy.

We also use this seat when we have friends with young children over. We've used it for table activities like painting and playdough in addition to eating.

Besides a resale shop, Target is the cheapest place I've seen these seats. Hope this helps.

What a find! I picked up this travel booster because of it's compact size. Who knew how portable, comfortable, secure and easy to clean it would be? I LOVE this item! I have used it many times with my daughter and it is always perfect. So perfect, in fact, that I usually end up demo-ing it for a family member, friend or passer by that notices how neat it is. Do yourself a favor, buy this booster. If you don't need it for your own child, it is a perfect shower gift or infant's birthday item. Love it! Love it! Love it!

AMAZING booster, especially for travel!!

We got this booster for my son since we travel so much and it is so lightweight. We fly all the time with him and checked baggage weight becomes a real issue with all the baby stuff we have to bring. This booster folds up tight, takes up little space, and only weighs 3 lbs.
br /
br /Besides that, it fits on every chair we've ever used very securely. We began using it when he was 8 months old and still use it today at just over 2 years old when we travel. From 8 months to 2 years, I have to say that I've always felt that he's very safe in it. The 3 point harness comes up far enough when they're younger to make it pretty secure. Even now, we use it at my dad's house on his very tall bar stools (that have backs on them, of course) and I feel he's safe in it.

br /Great product, highly recommended for travel!!

I do not own this but my in-laws do. Last time we were over we put my 15 month old in it. For one, the blow up part to make the seat higher fell forward out of the seat and my daughter was stuck sitting with this big inflatable thing between her legs. Two, the straps don't go tight enough or high enough around her to make her secure. It's very flimsy and I don't feel it is safe at all. It was so small in the chair that she was able to get her food all over the chair. It was used in a chair without arms and she was able to lean over way too far. I think this would work better in a chair with sides and with a child that is bigger, but I would highly recommend getting a plastic booster instead of this. This is definately not going to work on a wiggle-worm of a kid, which is what my daughter is. And by the time she stops wiggling, she'll be old enough to not need a seat. It's nice that it folds up small, but restaurants have high chairs or boosters to use. I definately say NO to this.

Don't buy for younger baby

I thought this item would be okay for my 11 month old for a few weeks while we were without our usual high chair but it is not. She felt VERY insecure it in, even pushed up to the table. She would cry when I placed her in it. Because it is not enclosed I think for the first time she could tell how high up off the floor she was. She is a great sitter but the side strapes are not very securing either, and at the tightest she still would lean over to the side. I think this product will be better for her when she is older, when she is able to almost sit like a big girl at the dinner table. I also do not feel that it inflates well, and sinks down towards the back, tilting her backwards. I do plan to keep this item for the future and perhaps I will review it again when she is older.

Don't waste your hard earned money on this!

(...)I can't believe we own the same product. Buy this product at the risk of breaking your child's head. I have used it three times, and each time it is a pain to zip back up, and the last time I used it, my daughter fell off to one side because it was lopsided (perhaps I didn't inflate it enough). Anyway, as a harried parent of a toddler, it is ridiculous to have to worry about inflating a seat while your child is busy trying to escape from your clutches (especially when you are alone, as I am). She was falling out of the chair she was strapped into. I bought this at Target (I don't know why it's listed here for more than I paid - I think this is a typo). If you really want this item in spite of what I've just written, come get it from my garage for 25c. (...)

We have been using this booster everyday since my son was ten months old and have really enjoyed the versatility. We bought it while we were traveling (which we do frequently) and it worked great on the chairs in the hotel and at our home. I have a friend that we stay with a lot and it doesn't work well on her kitchen chairs. I think the back support on the chair is too high (similar to a folding chair) and the seat slides back. It is really easy to clean and the straps are easy to adjust
br /my son feels safe and secure in it (He is a big kid. I can see how little ones may not feel as secure.
br /
br /Can't use it on a folding chair or chairs that taper significantly smaller to the back of the chair. The bottom strap will always be loose. So far we have only had a problem with this once.

We bought this a couple of years ago to use for travel, but we ended up using it daily for over a year.
br /Pros: compact, easy to set up, comfortable, inexpensive
br /Cons: When used daily it's difficult to clean out crumbs and food that's become caught in the velcro and the material folds. For this reason, we recently bought a hard plastic booster, but we'll still use this for trips.

We bought this for a trip to Italy. We stayed in a hotel where we ate 2 meals a day. I had called the hotel and confirmed they had no high chairs, so I brought this. It totally saved us, and meant we could actually sit and enjoy our meals because our daughter was strapped in to her seat. We have since used it at favorite restaurants that don't have high chairs, and also at our parents' and in-laws' houses. It has been a lifesaver. We just keep it in the trunk of the car so we always have the option.
br /
br /Let me also point out that while it's not the sturdiest thing in the world, it does a good job at acting as a high chair, but is also small enough to throw in the bottom of a stroller. My Daughter will play around and lean way over to the side, making it appear like she'll fall over, but we just sit right next to her and make sure she doesn't do that.
br /
br /We have never really inflated it, because we found it was sturdier/more stable without inflating, and the inflation really only buys you 2 more inches of height. You can only wipe it clean, but honestly, at this price, and since we only use it once in a blue moon, that's fine.
br /
br /I recommend this if you need a high chair/booster for a once in a while very portable seat.

I really don't have too much complain about this. I like it. We use it when we can. The only thing is it's so light that we're afraid it won't be sturdy on the chair but it really is. Also our daughter is rather playful so she can push the table with her feet and push her chair back so the booster seat doesn't seem to restrain her that way, but it's not because it doesn't work (it keeps her in the chair), but just rather that it's not like a high chair where it's all one piece, that's all. I like how it's compact and easy to carry and clean. My baby is rather messy and we've no problem wiping it clean.

We purchased this for our 11month old's travel with us to Asia recently. We chose this for its size when collapsed. It traveled alot easier. We even stuffed it in our carry on and use it at the airports during transits if necessary.
br /
br /It stayed in place and my very hyper 11 month-old stayed in it no problems.

The back strap only straps properly if the back of the chair is super wide. This chair DOES NOT WORK for most normal chairs. Even if it does strap on, my squirmy 13-month old will wiggle around until the straps loosen themselves and there's a huge risk that he can fall out. I bought this chair only 1 month ago thinking that it would be great to keep in the car but now I will not be using it anymore. What a waste of money. I can't even return it because I no longer have the original packaging. Don't waste your money. Buy the bulkier Fisher Price travel chair - I have that one and it works much better. It's bulky to carry around but it's also sturdier and safer.

This was great at first, until food began to stain it! Even after washing it after each use, food would stain this if it dropped on it. DO NOT BUY! I bought another one that is plastic, and it is so much easier to clean. This is very disappointing.
