I have to totally disagree with the review from Texas!! I just had my base and carseat inspected by representatives from St. John's Mercy Hospital and the Kidsafe organization, and they agreed that this was the easiest and safest base and carseat that they had come through inspection!! It is very easy to install, and it has a level adjuster that you can change as the child grows. I have it in my car (Olds Alero) and it fits fine in the middle.

Love it!

We bought the Embrace care seat and needed an extra base for the other car. It works wonderful! Easy to install and uninstall. I love that it reclines our son in three different positions. Even at 6 lbs 2ozs he was still reclined enough!

br /Note: different car seats fit into different cars better then others. But this car seat base has been in a small old Escort, a new dodge stratus, a big yukon, and a couple small and good size vans....all of which worked well with it!

I purchased the Evenflo Rainforest car seat, and compared to other bases this base is really great. It has a leveler included on the base so you don't have to purchase an additional product to level the base in the vehicle. It is also nice how easy a carrier is able to be removed from the base all you do is push the handle in and lift up. We had an older Evenflo car seat that was given to us and it was a pain to remove the carrier from the base. It was not an easy task especially when trying to remove a sleeping baby. The new ones are much better to remove and handle.

Fits perfect just a taupe color but it was cheaper to get this color than to get black. We needed for an extra vehicle so it worked perfectly.

The directions were a little confusing on correct way to strap base into car, or so my wife says. I won the competion on who could put the base in faster.

With two new grandsons, it is most convenient to have my own base and I also made sure both parents of both babies had a base in their car so we never have to worry about leaving the base with the baby, or going to leave with the baby only to find out the base is in the other car. I think all baby seats should come with TWO bases.

Just what we needed!

This is a great thing to have-the car seat easily attaches and detaches to and from the base. When it's in, it's very secure. It's nice to have a second one for the other car so that you don't have to undo and redo the first one every time the other parent wants to tote the baby in the other car. It was sort of hard to find in stores, so it was nice to be able to order it online on Amazon. I recommend it to parents who have two vehicles, or grandparents who will be carrying the baby around in their vehicles often.

The installation of the Evenflo Embrace Infant Car Seat Base in our daughter's car heavily taxed my strength and patience. Then, after my brother tried and gave up, my sister-in-law, a nurse, kept saying how important it was to the baby's safety. She and I working together finally got it fastened in and cinched up tight. As a new grandparent I felt compelled to order a second carrier seat base for our van. This installation took much less time and effort. And I did this one alone. Now, the baby rides safely, and the carrier hops from car to van effortlessly. It was worth the effort.

This is a great base and is easy to install. May be difficult in some cars, but a rolled towel worked just great for me.

My husband and I are on a tight budget so we didn't want to purchase a car seat that was overly expensive but we wanted our daughter to be safe. As a nurse in labor and delivery I am in contact with a lot of new parents and the car seat I see most often is the evenflo embrace. Months after giving birth I see a lot of my former patients and they still love this car seat. I myself found it to be great to use for our daughter and I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I have found this base along with the evenflo base that came with our travel system to be unsafe and a hassel to install. We have had to put towels underneath it to make it tilt back enough for our newborn. It only secures at one end so the other end flops up and down. Fits great in our SUV but to big for our car. If you go to a Babies R Us store they have an acutal car seat that the let you strap any carseat and base into to test it. Don't make our mistake. Test it before you buy it.

We've had nothing but problems with our Evenflo Embrace Infant Seat and Base. Let me just list...
br /
br /First, we live 2 hours from BRU, so I guess I'm partially to blame for not opening up the actual box and inspecting the seat before taking it home two weeks before my baby was due. But, I didn't. The next day when we opened the box to install the seat, we discovered the seat cover was ripped. I did however email Evenflo and explain that there was no way I could make another 4 hour round trip journey to BRU to exchange the carseat while 9 months pregnant. They shipped a new cover out and we had it before our daughter was born.
br /
br /So, now we're trying to install that base in the car...let's just say it was a task that should have taken 20 minutes tops but ended up taking over an hour. The instructions say that the base shouldn't move more than 1 inch when secured properly, but we never managed to get that to happen. The side that's not secured by the seatbelt just bops up and down, and even though we had it securely fastened in the seat, it still slid side to side more than 1 inch.
br /
br /But the real problem was after our daughter was born getting the seat adjusted so that her poor little head did not fall forward. Even on the most reclined setting, the seat was sitting straight up and down. Being new parents, we didn't know that her head wasn't supposed to do that, so I sat in the back seat every time we went somewhere holding her head up. Finally, one of my friends with kids mentioned that she should be more reclined and we put a folded up towl under the seat to help her sit back farther. It helped some, but it still wasn't great.
br /
br /It keeps getting worse though....the handle to the seat has some difficulty locking/unlocking, and TWICE when I was carrying my daughter in the seat did the handle magically unlock and the carseat flip forward. Luckily she was securely strapped in and it only scared us both. If she had happened to not be strapped in (when she was very young I would sometimes sit her in the seat while I made dinner) she would have fallen to the ground and been injured.
br /
br /I would HIGHLY recommend getting any other infant seat than this one. We thought that since we were paying $100 plus and additional $40 for a second base that we were getting a good product. What we've learned is that $$$ doesn't equal quality.
