I have the monkey version of this mirror and it is the ONLY one I have found that you can actually see your child in without straining. All of the others at Target, Babies R Us, Walmart... are fuzzy. You spend too much time trying to focus and not enough time with your eyes on the road. With a quick glace, you can see clearly. It sounds stupid to say it's the only mirror I can see out of... but it is true. All the others are useless. My son now sits facing the front and loves to mac at himself in his monkey mirror.

Wonderful - best used with head rest

This mirror is definitely the best out there. It has the biggest mirror available. It is very clear and not warped or foggy. It has multiple attachment options.
br /
br /However, it is best used with a headrest. It has an optional way of using it in the middle seat. Unfortunately, this method instructs you to use a rolled towel along with some strings and a safety pin provided. I've rigged it to work, but it took a lot of work and it still gets bumped or moved fairly often. I just wish they could come up with a better system for the middle seat.
br /
br /Regardless, I still highly recommend this mirror. It is the best you will find.
br /
br /UPDATE 2/8/08:
br /I finally became so sick of it flopping forward and backward with the towel in the middle position that I decided to rig it my own way. I looped the ties through the bear and the strings on the towel. I then tied each end of the ties to the head rest on either side of the middle seat. It works beautifully now! It doesn't budge at all!

I had a car mirror long ago for my son but had no idea where I stored it, so I bought this mirror when baby #2 came along. The mirror is larger than my first one was. The image is excellent! I can see my daughter perfectly. The only beef I have is that the monkey head rises above the headrest, creating a blindspot in my rearview mirror. So I have to be extra careful when I want to change lanes to the right. Otherwise, great product!

I bought this after being unable to get hold of anything similar in New Zealand where I live. It is AWESOME! My daughter (who is rear facing and will be until she is about 12months old here in NZ) can see me and herself and best of all I dont have to try and turn around to see her when I am driving, I can see what she is up to effortlessly through my rear-view mirror.
br /It is one of the half dozen things that I now suggest other new Mums get for their cars.
br /Well worth the money!!! I am one VERY Happy purchaser!

I bought the Panda mirror for two reasons, one, so that I could see my newborn daughter's cute face in my rear view mirror, while she lays in her rear facing car seat in the back seat and two, cause I love pandas.
br /Basically, these mirrors are for piece of mind (and my vanity) only, since I really can't sit there and stare at the baby the whole time while I'm driving and can only catch an occasional split second glance, which really isn't enough to see what she's actually doing. But I do love the mirror, it's really cute, mounts easily and serves it's purpose for me as a new Mom.
br /I think that maybe when my daughter gets a little older and can focus better (she's only 6 and a half weeks right now), the mirror will serve more as a cuddly panda toy for her to see herself in. One more thing, when I park my car outside, I cover the panda mirror with a towel, so that it won't fade in the sun.

Easy to install. Image of baby is clear.
br /One little drawback is that the bear kind of looks like a dog :)

We have used this since we brought home our newborn son. He loved to look at himself and smile and wave. Now that he is 10 months old he likes it even better. It is not the best for "looking at baby" in the rear view mirror, but one is not supposed to do that ...

br /Extremely pleased grandmother! I was so excited with this item, after I received the first one I ordered, I order another one! Gave the first one to my daughter and order a second one for myself! They are so cute, when I unbuckle my granddaughter from the car seat she grabs the mirror and hugs it!

Surely the cutest...!

I LOVE it! It's surely the cutest baby's mirror I've ever seen! It's very easy to install and the quality is great. I can also use it in my baby's crib. It's worth every single penny! I highly recommend it.

can't see details unless you turn around

I'm disappointed with this mirror. I had read the reviews written about the other infant mirrors in this product line (panda, bear, pink puppy, etc) and the reviewers seem to be happy with the product so I had high expectations. Do not expect to see details of your baby's face. What you see when you look into your rearview mirror is your baby at a distance. It is not a close-up so if you have a baby who spits up like mine and want to see her face to know that she is okay, you won't get that view with this mirror. I have a Honda minivan and the mirror has been installed on the headrest as suggested by the manufacturer so the distant view is unfortunately just what you get with proper installation.
br /The only good thing about this mirror is that it's cute and my baby likes looking into it.
br /Update: We've had this mirror for several months and although I wasn't crazy about it before, I would rate it 3 stars now. Like I said before, you don't see details when you look into your rearview mirror but you can see your baby well if you turn around and look directly into the puppy mirror. Of course, you can only do this when you're at a stop but it's better than having to jump out of your seat to see how she's doing.
br /It's worth purchasing.

Although,my husbands drives the car and I sit next to my son usually, we love this bear. My husband can see him smiling, having fun etc while driving. Also, our 6 month old son seems to like the bear, he stares at it. It's not boring to stare at the seat anymore as it was used to be (the car seat is rear faced...).

My son loves to lie in his play pen and talk to the mirror. I think its very cute and safe. When he smiles at himself, it warms my heart.

I purchased this for my daughter after seeing new parents with one on the TLC Channel show "Bringing Home Baby". It was easily installed and positioned, provides a good view of the baby and we don't worry about it falling on her.

I BOUGHT THE BEAR REAR VIEW MIRROR FOR MY GRANDSON WHO IS AN INFANT IN A CAR SEAT. MY SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW WERE SO THANKFUL THAT THEY CAN SEE MY GRANDBABY IN HIS CAR SEAT WHILE THEY ARE DRIVING THE CAR. SINCE THE BABY CAR SEAT IS BEHIND THE DRIVER SEAT FACING THE BACK OF THE CAR, MY SON WAS STOPPING THE CAR EVERY FEW MILES TO MAKE SURE THE BABY DIDN'T SPIT UP OR CHOKE. WITH THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, THEY HAVE BEEN RELIEVED OF THAT WORRY. THEY WERE UNABLE TO BUY THIS ITEM LOCALLY IN ANY OF THE BABY'S R Us STORES, SO I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND ONE FOR THEM. THANK YOU FOR THIS "LIFE SAVING" ITEM.

My grandaughter is only 5 months old and she absolutely loves this mirror. It lets her know that Mommy and Daddy are within eyesight while she is in her carseat. She also likes admiring herself.

This is great for the crib or pack n play. All the other mirrors are so obnoxious looking. This will go nicely with neutral nursery decor.

The mirror is great - but DON'T buy it from Baby Because!!!

I had bought this mirror in England for my baby last year, and loved it, so I attempted to buy another for a friend of mine. Baby Because wrote to me asking for my credit card details so they could charge me extra for shipping, although I had already paid a considerable amount via Amazon (I live in Italy). I told them that I didn't wish to do that and asked them to refund the amount I had paid (about $44). Never heard from them again. I now have no mirror and no money.
