Description:
Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 3-in-1 Car Seat Cosco is another household name in the world of car seat and other safety items. The Alpha Omega follows in the footsteps of its predecessors by combining safety and luxury. It is a convertible car seat which includes a 5-point safety harness and comfortable fabric. A key feature on the Cosco car seat is its no rethread technology. Parents have struggled for years rethreading the harness on the car seat after adjusting the headrest. The no rethread technology makes catering to the larger child a lot easier. This Cosco convertible car seat also uses a push in harness adjustment lever to make adjustments quick and easy. When compared with other version of convertible car seat, the Cosco 3-in-1 Car Seat holds up very well as it can accommodate a child to 100 lbs. and is LATCH compatible. The Cosco car seat is similar to the Eddie Bauer version of the seat, but has its own little touch. The Cosco convertible car seat can grow with the child, a very important feature.Get more product details from Amazon

Rear Facing Buyer beware

I ordered this seat because my five month old is already 20 pounds and his feet dangle off the end of the carrier. I need seven more months of rear facing and this convert seemed a good option.
However, in order to use this as a rear facing seat it must sit at a 45 degree angle. I am barely five feet tall (translation my seat is way up close to the steering wheel) and drive a SUV (translation-not a small car)
The car seat "fit" in the back seat but not at the proper angle for safety purposes. I would have to remove the front seat to have room for it to recline at the proper angle(translation - unusable) Given my height and the fact that the rear seat of my SUV was far back as possible makes me wonder what car this could possibly fit properly while rear facing.
You should also know that if you order from the linked company they will only give you a credit, not a refund. (translation- Amazon is not selling this product, they are processing it for another company which does not have Amazon return policies. So unless you read the fine print you don't know this until the deal is done)
Update: Apparently, the company wont give refund, exchange or credit if the box is opened and will cease responding to messages if you ask why.

Yes it only took me 15 minutes to install it. Easy to read instructions. The only problem is that the straps don't stay put when I am trying to put my child in the seat. I tuck them alongside the seat. My daughter seems to like it. When she falls alseep her head goes to the side rather than rest it on her chest. The seat fit well in our suburban.
Great Seat!

We absolutely LOVE this car seat, I had read many reviews on it through other websites and tend to agree with what I read. It's easy to install, it's super padded and since my son just outgrew his carrier, at 5 months and 28 inches long, this was the only choice for us. We also liked the fact that the seat will grow with him. But hey, don't take my word for it...do your own research and when your done, I'm sure this seat will be your choice as well.

We have had a similar seat(fabric pattern is the only difference) for 14 months now without any troubles. Fits in both our Dodge Ram and our Toyota Land Cruiser just fine... The straps have a tendency to get tangled, minor issue though. When you release the straps pull them out evenly and place them to the sides. Our 1 yr old boy falls asleep every time we go out driving. Have another 3 month old and we are looking to buy the same seat. This seat is sold under many brand names same manufacture though.

We go this seat for our second son. We had an older one for his holder brother (2 years apart). And this one is great, the straps on mine dont really get tangled like the other people say. It adjusts easily and after the second time now of washing the cover it is pretty easy to do. My older son used it while his little brother was still in the carrier caseat and loved it, now he is big enough to fit in it and it is perfect for him too. The only down side is the cupholders stick out too far and no one can sit beside the seat without a cupholder in the side.
Review of the similar Alpha Omega Alpine

First off, this is a review of the Alpha Omega Alpine, sold at Babys R Us. The designs are very similar. The Elite has armrests; the Alpine does not but has a cup holder.
The seat seems fairly well constructed. It fits easily and snugly in our 2003 Honda Civic with the latch system. I've never tried installing it facing backwards. Our 3 year old likes the chair. It has an additional black washable pad that makes the chair much more comfortable. Otherwise, there's not a lot of padding. (But then again, I haven't ever seen a really cushy convertible seat.) We haven't had any problems with the chest latch, which some other reviewers have mentioned. My wife has caught our child's leg with the crotch latch once -- be careful, there's not a lot of room for error there. Our model has a flimsy cup holder on its left side.
I've seen a few reviews that mention the recline feature. According to the owner's manual, this is *only* supposed to used to make the seat fit more securely when it's first installed. The recline is *not* intended for comfort, e.g., when your child is sleeping. Just thought I'd mention it.

My daughter is 16 months old. We have been using this seat since her 1st birthday. Unfortunately, I did not have a car with LATCH at the time I started using it, and I wasn't happy with the way the seat belts fit it. 2 weeks later, I went out and bought a new car that had LATCH (it wasn't just because of the seat!) and it works wonderfully with the LATCH. I highly recommend the seat for safety and comfort. My daughter sleeps in it roughly 3 - 4 times a month while we are riding.
I hate this car seat!

I hate this car seat. It is so hard to use and it takes forever to untangle the straps each time I go to put my daughter in it. It is ridiculous and another thing is that the straps are way to lose and even if I tighten them they still come undone. I will have them so tight on her chest when we leave the house, five minutes down the road she has the straps under her armpits and is playing around trying to grab things in the car. I am not amused with this and can't believe that at two years of age it can't hold my daughter. I am just about ready to go the store and purchase a different model.
