The seat worked great. We bought the seat because we could not stand the way my 3 yearolds head would hang when she went to sleep in the car. This seat offers support for sleeping children. However the same neck support prevents them from looking side to side with ease ( kind of like blinders).

We had the Britax Roundabout for our daughters and were so very pleased with them, especially with the safety ratings. When my older daughter was ready for a booster, the choice was easy -- BRITAX! My daughter loves her booster. When I first got it in the mail (we live overseas) I was initially disappointed because I thought she wouldn't like the side supports, but she loves them!
br /I would like to comment on two previous comments....boosters are not FAA approved and shouldn't be used on an airplane. Boosters are for use with shoulder seatbelts. Second, you do not secure a booster down because it is not a carseat. It is used because children under 8 and 80 pounds are too small for a shoulder seatbelt. I simply want to comment on those because Britax makes a great....and SAFE product!

I bought a Parkway booster seat for my 4 1/2 year old three weeks ago. From day one she complained that it was uncomfortable. I can see why. The headrest wraps around the head and can feel confining to some kids. I know the purpose of this is to protect the head in a accident but I think it was too over done.
br /
br /The other thing I don't like about this booster seat is the cup snack holders. They are so shallow it doesn't hold anything. Even a short sippy cup and water bottle keeps flying out of the cup holder.
br /
br /Lastly, there's no arm rests like Graco booster seats. This is another reason why my daughter doesn't like her Parkway.
br /
br /If Britax can twick few things, I think this can be a great booster seat.

This seat is a wonderful transition from our daughter's Roundabout. The reasons why I could not give it 5 stars are the following: poorly designed cup holders; an early tear in the fabric; no secure anchoring.
br /
br /Cup holders: we've already spilled juice that's been left in the cup holders. They are completely useless and should have been better designed.
br /
br /Fabric: though the material looks resilient, a tear has developed near the lower left corner where her leg sits... I am assuming that this is because the chair is mounted behind the driver's seat, and therefore it gets a lot of traffic as our daughter boards and disembarks the car - nonetheless, we expected something a little more durable.
br /
br /Anchors: the seat wobbles around and doesn't really hold our daughter in place. She is often reaching over to pick something up, and the seat nearly topples over. I am not sure why this wasn't considered in the design. It makes it easy to remove and install, but I'd rather have something a little more stable.

Too much like a car seat?

I recently purchased this booster as well as the Britax Starriser booster seat (I have two cars/two toddlers and an infant). My children argue over who gets to ride in the Starriser. For some reason they are not as comfortable in the Parkway. My theory is that it is too much like a car seat rather than a booster -- and they feel "too snug" in it. They even look uncomfortable in it. The one advantage of the Parkway over the Starriser is the increase neck protection if they should fall asleep. If I had to do it over, I would have purchased two of the Starrisers instead of the Parkway. BTW, I purchased the Britax Companion for my infant and I LOVE it.
Seems secure - a few small gripes

This seems to be a secure seat, and our almost-5-year old is comfortable in it. The buckling system is a bit inconvenient - you really have to get your head down there and put the strap in just right to get the side thingy snapped. I wish our son could buckle himself in at this point, but this seat makes it too hard. It's also not a seat you want to do air travel with, as it's unwieldy to carry around. But, all in all I would say it's a good purchase.

I tried a few boosters before settling on the Britax Parkway. First we tried the Jupiter booster. My daughter is a tiny girl (5yrs.old- 36 lbs. 43 inches tall). She was way too tiny for the Jupiter. The shoulder belt kept sliding off her shoulder and her head wasn't supported when she slept in the car. Another thing i didn't like about the Jupiter was that the padding under her bottom felt too thin and she complained her bottom hurt after long car rides. Then we tried the Graco. It is a good seat. But no head support unless you lay the seat back a ways. I didn't like the plastic seat belt guides because it hurt my daughter's cheek sleeping on it. Next we tried the Parkway (Britax). This booster is by far the best booster on the market in my opinion. I am a huge Britax fan. All my kids have been britax babies. My 3 year old and 4 month old currently sit in the Marathon (britax). This booster has enough padding to keep the kids comfortable, the head rests keep their heads from flopping. My daughter likes the way the fabric feels (she is very sensitive). Even though the Graco booster seat looks like the Parkway, and the Graco is $50 less than the Parkway, I still didn't like the fact that the red seat belt guides (on the Graco) looked like they would hurt to rest my head on. Britax thought of everything with this seat. I HIGHLY recommend this seat. Fork over the extra cash and splurge on your child's safety!! You'll be glad you did.

I really like this booster seat. The cushioning is soft and comfortable for my son. I also like the head rest. Some reviews I read talked about how the head rest acted like blinders for their children. My son doesn't mind them at all and they keep his head stable when he sleeps which I love!

I bought this for my 4 year old daugher. i liked the safety review for this seat. my daughter loves everything about it. I don't have one bad thing to say about this seat. i've had it for about 3 months and it looks like it did when i pulled it from the box. she has spilled everything you could think of on it and you can't tell. it even still smells new! the cushion is just as good as the first day she used it. i will buy another for my 18 month old daughter when she is big enough.

We purchased Britax Bodyguards for our children when they first came out because they were the first booster to provide side impact protection for their heads, just like the more current Parkway model. I had the same complaints as others at first about the seats impeding the kids' views, but they quickly grew accustomed to the seats (and I loved that their heads were well-supported when they fell asleep on long trips). Last week, my daughter and I were in a car accident where we were blindsided from the right. Thanks to those 'wings' around her head, she doesn't seem to have suffered any injuries from what was a serious collision. I bought new Parkways for each of the kids the day after the accident, as I wouldn't want my kids to ride in any other booster seat.

Our experience with the Britax Booster Seat has been nothing short of fantastic. Our son loves the seat so much that we bought another for our other vehicle, it's easy for him to buckle and the adjustable head rest makes this a great seat.

I love this booster seat. It keeps my son's head upright when he falls a sleep. The crash resistant foam makes me feel he is safer. The only complaint is that the cup holders are not deep enough to hold the cup in place.

We bought two of these boosters about 3 months now. The cover is durable, as with other Britax seats. Our children each have different body builds (one is thin, the other is more solid), but both fit comfortably in the seats. At first, our younger child would lean forward to see around the head support, but he has since become used to it and sits properly in the seat. Our older child sat normally from day one.

br /I was somewhat concerned about the seats not having arm rests. But as soon as we installed them I realized that the captains' chairs in our van have arm rests, so it turned out to be an non-issue.
br /
br /All and all, they are very nice seats. I like them, the kids like them, and we've received several compliments on the "race car" cover. (We have the Speedway design.)

I've used this car seat for over a year. My daughter didn't care for it too much I've used this car seat for over a year. My daughter didn't care for it too much. I'm not sure what she hated more the head rest or the seat which is about as soft as a towel covering a rock. The cup holders can in no way function as a cup holder. The car seat head unit is made up of a flexible plastic, Styrofoam, covered with cloth. Somehow during the moving the car seat around we cracked the Styrofoam in two places. Thus foam was falling out of the head rest. Well a call to Britax and waiting on hold for about 30 mins I was told it would cost $10 for a replacement piece. A car booster seat needs to last longer however I was able to damage mine in about a year and replacement of foam (the same stuff cheap beer coolers are made of) costing $10 seems a bit excessive.
