We just got back from a trip that included four separate flights (2 to get there, 2 to get back). This bag was a life saver. I didn't know until shortly before the trip what we should do with the car seat, so when I found out we had to check it as checked luggage (we didn't have a ticket for our 15 month old or he could have counted it as his carry-on), I started looking for a solution.
br /
br /This bag was reasonably priced, roomy, and durable. We put his car seat, portable booster seat, and diaper bag filled with diapers and books into it. With all this inside the bag ended up being kind of heavy because it is so roomy, but the strap held up well - no sign of the stitching or the bag itself starting to tear. Because of the weight, wheels might have been nice, but it was our choice to fill it so full, and the bag was only $15. The airplane luggage handling isn't always so kind to wheels anyway. I saw the ones with wheels, opted for the cheaper version without wheels, and I'm not sorry. If you have a family's worth of luggage, often you rent a cart at the airport anyway.
br /
br /I would like to note that the pictures make it look like there is some sort of rigidity to the back and maybe some of the sides of the bag, but there isn't. It is just a heavy weight coated nylon or something, like a good duffel bag.
br /
br /So... good value for the price - I highly recommend if you don't do a ton of traveling with kids! For one thing, once they get older you use their seat on the plane and there are other solutions for transporting it (strapping their seat to your carry-on, for example). That is a big reason why we opted for a lower-cost item when you have to buy so much other stuff the first few years that you only use for a short while. I was very pleased to find this product!

This is the best car seat travel bag for the money on the market!! We looked for months to find a durable and affordable option, and this bag is both. It is made of a thick canvas material that you don't have to worry about ripping during transit. It also zips open from the bottom which makes it really easy to get your seat in and out. There is plenty of room in the bag to add any extra coats, toys, or blankets that you might need. If you are looking for a bag that is well made and easy to use, this is the one. We loved it!!

Great car seat carrier, super price.

I bought this for a trip my daughter took on the train. It came in the mail the day before she left. It is made with heavy material and seems to be built for more long term use. I could not get it to snap closed however. But that did not detract from how beautifully it kept my britax marathon seat protected! Would recommend.

pros: fair price, britax decathlon carseat fits easily into it with plenty of room to spare, shoulder strap is nice for carrying b/c it's bulky,
br /
br /cons: none, unless you count that the material is not SUPER durable quality, but it didn't tear on my 4 airplane trips and is still in good as new shape, so it was definitely worth the price for me.

The bag did fit my eddie bauer carseat nicely, but the product was defective. Upon arrival, the carrying strap was so badly frayed that it was completely detached from the bag and could not be used to carry the bag. It was also too frayed to be repaired. Neither sunshine kids nor amazon was able to replace the bag as sunshine kids was apparently out of stock, so we purchased a car seat travel bag from graco for a few dollars more. I have just returned from my trip and I highly recommend the graco bag. It is a much better product in every aspect, in my opinion, including a stronger and more comfortable carrying strap. Finally, I did not find my interaction with sunshine kids regarding their defective product to be very helpful as they initially confused this bag with another product, and they did not respond to my subsequent inquiries. I would rate their customer service as very poor. Also, now it is my responsibility to return the defective product in order to get a refund. Save yourself time and money and skip the sunshine kids travel bag.

The bag is big - large enough for the car seat, diapers, coats, toys, etc. I noticed a few small tears in the fabric of the bag upon return from the first and only trip we have used it on. My only real complaint is that there is no way to lock the bag. The end of the zipper snaps into place but ther is no place for a padlock.

Perfect fit for my infant seat, base and more

We bought this bag to use when traveling (which we do quite frequently). We have both a convertible car seat (Britax Marathon) and an infant seat (Graco SnugRide) and both would easily fit in there (separately) depending on which one we wanted to check. We checked the SnugRide and its base and had a LOT of extra room in there so I added in all 4 of our winter coats, the bundle me, and a few other things and even had room left over. I (the mommy) was able to wear the shoulder strap and carry it myself. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because it doesn't look like it will last forever. While durable, it is not as thick as it appears in the ad pictures.

We used this on a trip to MO and was able to slip it over the Britax Marathon with the Travelmate stroller attachment still on. The bag easily closed over both items, and we could have stuffed more in there. If we travel in the winter, the coats will definitely be gate checked with the car seat. The bag has been gate checked twice so far, and although it was a little dusty, it did its job well and without any wear and tear. It was raining (moderately) and the seat remained dry even though it sat outside about 10 minutes before being placed in the airplane. For the price, it's highly worth it. The only downside is that the strap is not extremely convenient; I would opt for a single padded strap or two straps to wear as a backpack. Otherwise, no complaints.

This fit my Graco ultralite infant carrier and base with a ton of extra room. It fit over the shoulder which helped with the amount of luggage we had. I used it and it got a small hole in it but for the price I paid it was better than having the airline wrap it up in shrink wrap and stayed very clean and unhurt!

We bought two of these bags to use on a trip to California. One held my son's infant seat and one held my older son's convertible car seat. Both fit in these bags very easily and there was room to throw a few more things in as well. They held up excellent and I am sure we will be using them for many more trips. The handle really helped with carrying them thru the airport. Excellent bag for the price!

This bag worked out perfect for our recent airport trip. The infant seat and base fit in the bag with no problem and we carried it in the bag, by the strap to the gate. There was room to spare so we were able to stash a blanket and our jackets in there too. We are just moving to the convertible car seat and that fits in this bag as well, so I know we will be using it again in the future. The material is thick, durable and will protect your car seat. It's also great for storing your carseat when baby outgrows it. Our infant seat is now in the bag in our garage since we aren't using that car seat anymore, but we will pull it out for our next trip.

We will be buying a second for our other carseat. The price can't be beat and it weathered the trip to Alaska, around Alaska and back. It fits our Britax Marathon easy. (Other bags are a stretch to house the Marathon.)

br /This has nothing to do with the quality of the bag, but I do wish it was in stock more often. The two times I have come here to order it, it is out of stock. Last time I ended up ordering it from a different vendor and paying more plus paying for shipping. Please Amazon - get this in stock before the holidays!

The bag is really big and definitely held our Maxi Cosi car seat really well (plus other items like blankets etc.), but it is soft (like a duffle bag) durable fabric, not stiff (as if it were foam backed) like it looks in the picture. However, for the price, I figured wrapping the seat in blankets and bubble wrap cost less than the padded alternative bag (which was about 5 times the price). I recommend it.

We planned a 7 day trip with our 3 children (all of which are in car seats)in which we were traveling by air, we considered renting the car seats through the rental car location when we arrived however saw this bag and decided to give it a try. The bag arrived on the day that we were leaving and not expecting much I proceeded to stack the two "full back" booster seats together and attempted to slip them in the bag. To my surprise they both fit perfectly with a lot of room to spare. I figured with the extra room I would try to also place the "seat only" booster in the bag as well and they all fit. This is a GREAT travel bag, the material is sturdy and was one of the best purchase I have ever made.

I have not been able to use this product yet, but am looking forward to trying them for protecting carseats in airport transit.
