Description:

Belt positioning boosters are the biggest advancement in child safety in years. Automobile seat belts are designed for children above 57" tall. The First Years Compass B510 Booster Car Seat has a five-star Ease of Use rating. The First Years Compass B510 Booster Car Seat was one of only two high back booster seats to receive five stars and the only seat to receive five stars in every category to date under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) new Ease of Use rating system. Safety advocates suggest that your child ride in a booster as long as possible. Most states have enacted legislation to keep children in boosters until ages 6 to 8 years. p But, what it takes to keep an older child content is not the same as baby. This is an age when children are busy in activities and moms, dads and grandparents are all involved in dropping off and picking up the children. The Compass Deluxe Folding Booster Car Seat provides the answers for both you and your child. p The patented folding features take moving the seat from car to car and storing in the trunk to a new level of convenience. It's not just for travel, it is a seat that fits your daily lifestyle. Deluxe padding will keep your child comfortable and content, even on long trips. Rotating arm rests make installation easier because the belt path is clear. The rotating arm rests also improve the ease of use because children have an easier time crawling in and out by themselves. p The back support stays fully enclosed as the height is adjusted. This means side support and protection in every position. The head rest has a full EPS foam (bicycle helmet foam) liner to absorb energy in an impact. And the deeper side wings provide additional protection for your child. The six-position height adjust will grow with your child. p bFeatures:/b ulliNarrow bottom rails allow the seat to fit into sculpted bucket seats even in small cars/li liTaller, higher belt path (2") to

We have 3 children, ages 5 and under. We have puchased car seats for each of them for our two vehicles and the grandparents' car. Eight seats total. This Compass is better padded than all but the Britax and seems to be the most popular seat when the kids are given a choice. The booster seat is vey well made and I will probably buy more of these as I replace some of the convertible seats with boosters.

My daughter loves her new booster seat. She is 5 years old. I wanted her to be safe and comfortable especiallyfor those 3 hour drives to Grandma's house. Now her little 4 year old brother wants one (in blue). They can rest their heads against the side if they fall asleep, and yet still have a good view of things. Previously we had a Britax Wizard carseat and the kids didn't complain about it but I noticed their friends didn't seem to like the headrest part of it.

This booster seat arrived very quickly after we ordered it. It's very pretty, more padded and definitely more comfortable than the Graco seats. Seems very well made. Light weight. The fact that it folds was not a factor to me when I ordered it, but now I've used that feature several times and love it. Overall a great product and one that our little girl likes very much.

We purchased this for my four year old daughter. She absolutely loves her booster seat and has declared that it is the best one in the whole world. It's a breeze to set up, very light weight, but substantial enough that we feel she is very safe in it. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I completely changed my mind after 6 mos of use!

My original review was the complete untruth. I had only had the seat for a month, and it was fine. I have had it for only six months now, and IT IS AWFUL!!!!! The fabric looks terrible, the styrofoam is broken right off of the headrest, and the company has been less than helpful. They said that this one is no longer available (funny that Amazon has it) and that they could not send me the same one. They were supposed to overnight me a new seat, as I feel that my daughter's safety is being compromised and that was a week ago. Not pleased at all. Don't waste your money. My other child has a Britax, and although a bit more pricey, it still looks brand new after only 7 months! I thought it was crazy too to buy for the "brand" name, but they do make a far superior car seat!

Great booster. Our 3 year old daughter loves that she can climb in and out by herself (she can unbuckle it herself which may concern some) It is easy to transport/set up from one car to another. It is strong and sturdy but light. The colors are great for her and not gaudy for us! (She wanted pink)
br /Did a ton of research before buying as I was nervous about switching from a 5 point harness to a regular seat belt for safety reasons, but this seat works great. Would absolutely buy again.

Bought this for my 5 1/2 year-old daughter because she was finding it annoying to be strapped into her 5-point harness seat(Britax-huge seat)-so I did the research and bought this seat. It's very easy to use, adjust and buckle in/out. It folds up for easy storage-abit difficult to unfold. Enough padding to make it comfortable. My girls love the daisy print but my husband preferred the blue. We liked it so much that we bought another one for my 3 1/2 year-old daughter and she loves it. We ended up buying another set for my husband's car and another set for my parents. Loved by all! Highly recommend it-gave it four stars due to the diffculty in unfolding it-only negative that I can find.

My Daughter absolutely loves her new booster seat. She feels like a big kid because she gets to use the shoulder seat belt. And being pink made it even better! It's light weight and easy to move from one car to another. It's seems to be comfortable for my daughter. She hasn't complained at all. Great seat.

I have to be honest, I was a little concerned moving from Britax's Marathon car seat to this booster. It seemed a little unstable and not as safe. But it is perfectly safe. Using the car's seat belt stabilizes the seat very well and the positioning is perfect for my daughter. She outgrew the height requirements on her other seat so we purchased this.
br /
br /We found:
br /-The grow-with-your-child height adjustment on the seat back will be very beneficial for our daughter.
br /-The seat belt positioner is angled perfectly and safely.
br /-It is quite roomy and comfortable and our daughter does very well on long trips in this.
br /-It promotes a greater sense of freedom in our four-year-old. She can buckle/unbuckle herself from the seat. (This could be a drawback if the child isn't mature enough to keep the belt on while the car is in motion.)
br /-The colors are "girly" enough to satisfy our little princess.
br /-It folds very easily and is the most transportable seat we've found. This is huge benefit for us as we do a lot of plane travel.

I purchased this seat after we had been rear-ended and the insurance covered new seats. I like these seats because they are bigger for my bigger kids. This seat is big enough for my 52" 80 lb 8 year old who likes to sit in a car seat still, and she is comfy and not squished. It has nice deep head supports with soft fabric and lots of cushion. I like the cup holders and how they rotate easily. My 3 year old can open it easily on her own. It will fold easily, but we don't plan to use it for that. As someone else said, this seat is big and it is hard to see out the back windows. I also had to take the head rests out of my captains chairs in my van for the seats to fit properly.

I am writing to say that this Booster seat was incredibly effective in a head on collision just 3 nights ago. My family was hit by another car with my 5 1/2 yo daughter in this seat just a different Print and with a 50 MPH collision force, she walked away with only a slight bruise on the collar bone. The adjustable/grow with you and perfect seat belt positioning we attribute to the lack of seat belt injury. The protective impact material also help prevent injury to her. Her seat we feel offered the utmost protection and are repurchasing this seat because of the above mentioned and that it is a very comfortable seat and she has travelled well in and has been very happy with it. We can not express our happiness and if there were more than 5 stars, it would receive it!

Very nice but I was surprised...

The purchase went smoothly and was delivered very quickly. However I can't give the product a five star because, although my granddaughter loved it and it fits her well even at just 30lbs [the minimum wt.], I wanted it to feel more stable. It is not attached to the car other than by using the regular adult two point seat belt which fits well, and easily, into the child's booster seat. Perhaps all boosters are this way. It never occurred to me that a booster seat --which is now suggested [and fits] children up to about ten yrs of age -- would not be attached using extra secure means. Meaning using more than the car's own seatbelt! Modern cars already have extra attachments for the use of a baby car seat, why not take advantage of them for the booster? No one mentioned this in all the reviews that I read before purchasing.

We ordered this booster for our 4 year old daughter and are very pleased with it. She loves it, too. She is able to sleep in it comfortably, which was important to me as she sleeps in the car alot. The only drawback I have found is she is unable to buckle herself - yet. I'm sure she'll get it.
br /Otherwise we are very happy.

We love the Compass seat. First we got it for our son at 5 and every time he wasn't in the car, my 4-year old wanted to sit in it. We had her in the Marathon. But as she continues to grow, it was a great time to transition them both to the booster seat.
br /We love the cup holders, arm rest, and fun colors for their preference. I like that it supports their back and neck more than some of the little square blocks we have seen.
br /We are happy with it and I also like how it folds in half for easy carrying when needed.

We ordered this booster for our upcoming trip to Disney. We're renting a car and did not want to have to lug our heavy carseat on the plane. My husband and I love the way this seat installed so easily, how light and portable it is for travel and that it comes with its own carry case. Our daughter loves 1)the pink flowery design and 2) the cup holders. The only negative to us is that it does not have a 5-point harness. DD discovered right away that she could pull her arm out of the seatbelt.

I first used this chair when I borrowed it from a friend and took it on vacation. This is a good travelling chair, even checking it into the airline baggage. The included travel bag is sturdy enough to last a while, as long as you don't bash it around. The seat is light weight yet sturdy. My wife's car is the primary family car (2 kids), and I use this in my car, so I will add that this is not our primary chair. However, I would not hesitate to use it as a primary chair.

I'm a mom of 2 girls, a 3 1/2 and a 2 1/2. I bought this one to replace my convertible carseat. I just love the color...very girly. That's why my daughter is so excited to use it. It's lightweight, easy to carry and well cushioned. I will probably get another one when my youngest turns 3. I would definitely recommend this.

We bought this booster seat for our 4 year old, very slim daughter. Since she weighs 30 pounds I was looking for a very safe seat for her. She LOVES this seat. She feels like such a big kid. After using it for several weeks now, I feel very good about how the seat belt itself is not too high, and the comfort of the seat. She loves to unbuckle it herself when we get to a location and tells me the seat is very comfortable. It has been extremely easy to install and move around when we need to, and I am very happy with this purchase. The only possible negative I can think of is that you have to pay a little more for the girl print. I still don't get that part. She loves the colors, and I love how sturdy it is compared to the other boosters we have used. I would definitely recommend this product to others (and have done so).

This is an excellent product. We bought an earlier version for my son last year and were very happy with it. My daughter (aged 3) wanted a pink car seat, so it was great to find the same car seat in the right color. The features on this model are improved: there is more wing protection; the seat has more padding and the fabric is much softer. The kids love the two cup holders. We love the fact that the seats fold in half, so fit in our hall closet, and they are light and easy to carry. The adjustable head rest means the kids will be riding in these seats for years to come. They are also the easiest car seats to fit; no fiddly straps, you just put the seat in the car and put the car seat belt around the child.

I used the latch system til now and cant believe I waited this long. This seat is so easy to install. We used to trade cars just so we didnt have to move the carseat. You cannot use the latch system after your child reaches a certain weight/height so this transition was needed. My child saw this booster on-line and said that one.I researched it and it was a very wise choice for us.The booster is smaller than the carseat we were using even though the carseat can still be used w/ the cars seatbelt. It is more comfortable for everyone,in the seat and next to it.Although your child can reach over and unbuckle themself (had that discussion) it still is a great seat for us.

I bought this car seat for our 3.5-year old daughter because our 5-year old son has the same booster (in bright green, we bought a couple of years ago) and he loves it and it seems to have more padding than the Graco Turbo Booster making longer trips more comfortable. It's easy to adjust the height and to fold up - great for travel. I love the pink and brown combination. This new version is even better with softer arm rests and wider "wings" on top for better head protection. The only thing I didn't know was that it comes with a carrying case, which I ordered seperately so now I have to return it.

I like the way it folds for storage or carrying. It is very easy to move between cars. The back is high and is adjustable. My daughter is 4 and seems to fit in it well. My daughter was out growing her car seat and had seen a flowered graco booster at a garage sale and wanted it. I had read great safety reviews about this product and new that is had a floral print available. My daughter loves her new big girl seat and still has a comfortable place to rest her head when she has had a long day. I love that the premier ones come with a free carring bag for when we travel. We ordered a second one in Pacific for my husband's car. He likes how the Compass booster easily folds and can be put in the trunk for a night out with the boys.Compass Premier Folding, Adjustable Booster

I ordered this booster from another company only to be told it would be weeks before we got it. I canceled that order and bought it on Amazon. It was at my home in 4 days! The booster seat is simple to use, easy to transport and it comes with a travel bag that is handy when flying. We bought the Daisy pattern for our daughter and the Pacific for our son. They are so excited to get in the car, they race to get in their seats! We are very happy with this product and would recommend it to everyone looking for a solid product that is super user friendly. I recently purchased this car seat for one reason only... It's ability to fold up and pack away. Our family travels by air/train several times a year and this has been a godsend. Simply use it on your way to the airport, then fold it up...pop it in the carry bag and check it. You can also take it on the plane if you like.

My 4-year-old daughter absolutely loves her new seat. I have a 1996 Maxima and this seat fits into the car as though it were custom made for it. The seat belt is perfectly fitted to my daughter and I like that the headrest wraps more around her head. She loves the color too (pink). She is definitely more content in the car in this seat. She can even sleep in it without compromising the position of the seat belt (thanks to the design of the headrest).

I bought this for my daughter from Wal-Mart online and could kick myself for it! It's the same price on Amazon, but shipping here is free!!! I paid Wal-Mart $50.00 to have it shipped to an APO. (Stupid, stupid, stupid!!) My 7 year old daughter LOVES the car seat. I bought it for her because she was 36 pounds at 7 years old, and the autobahn over here is crazy and I wanted her to be safe. I thought for sure she'd complain about having to be in a car seat again, but I haven't heard her complain yet. Now all of her friends want one! The head rest adjusts up and down, there are two cup holders, and the arm rests go up and down. I haven't found any flaws with this car seat. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!!

After owning "boring" gray and black booster seats...I decided to get this fun pink and brown booster seat for my 4 year old daughter! I love the fun daisy design and the pink and brown colors and the material is super soft. The head support is great since my daughter still occasionally falls asleep in the car. We've already traveled with this booster seat, and being able to fold it and check it for the plane is SO much easier!

I bought this to replace an evenflo booster seat that I ruined. My daughter is almost 4 and loves it! It is easy for her to use all the features and still buckle herself in. She likes the cupholders and can rotate them in and out herself. She can also put the armrests up and down without help. The only thing "wrong" about the cupholders is that they are not wide enough to accommodate a plastic water bottle. The head wings are wide enough that when she falls asleep, she is still upright in the seat and not slumped over! We love this seat! It also doesn't take up that much room and I really like the fact that it folds for storage.
