We have four of these Summit high-back boosters from Cosco - one each for two boys for both my and my wife's vehicle. We couldn't be more pleased with the car seats. I am a company car driver and change vehicles frequently - this car seat is easy to remove and re-secure, which was important for us. Additionally, the entire cloth wrapping is easily removable and washable - which has also proven to be important. The reclining feature is super easy to use - often if the boys doze off, I just reach back from the front seat and pull the red handle forward, to put the seat in a reclined position, which keeps their heads from falling forward when sleeping. According to our very talkative 3-year-old, the seat's very comfortable as well. Not to mention that Consumers Reports gave this car seat the highest ranking for safety compared to other car seats. Note that this is one of the few car seats that is a Consumer Reports recommended buy.

I spent several hours researching which seat to buy for my 15mth old daughter now that her old seat (which was used by both her brothers) has reached the 'do not use after' date. We ordered this seat received it 2 days later with Amazon's free shipping! My kids couldn't wait to get it out of the box! She climbed in by herself sat with the biggest grin. I love the neutral color scheme, comfy padding, moveable armrests, cupholder attached to the base. I really love that this seat has many great reviews out there (not just on amazon). My 6yr 4yr old boys that use a booster seat also thought this seat was 'really cool'. It was a breeze to position the harness to fit her correctly installed in my minivan in under 10 minutes. She used to cry when I buckled her in her old convertible car seat; she hasn't since we got this one. If I need another car seat/booster, I'll definitely buy another one of these.

LOVE THIS!

I bought this booster for my son when he grew out of the rear facing travel system. I looked a literally 50 car seats, read reviews, even consulted consumer report (which gave it the highest safety rating). We have been using it now for almost a year and it is great! The covers on the shoulder straps easily slip off and with the seat cover are very washable (colors are still true - no fading; stains are easy to remove with a little shout or whatever you use). Installing this seat was also very easy; and switching from car to car is also easy. The cup holder on the base pulls out as needed for little hands to reach. Another plus the recline function. Often when my son has fallen asleep on car rides, I can easily reach in the back seat and recline him, which eliminates his head falling forward. There are three settings so we have used them all. My son even tells me that he loves it and how comfy it is as we travel nearly 90 miles to and from work/daycare daily. This construction is sturdy, materials and fabrics are high quality. I bought this model for my siblings with children of various ages - and we are all in agreement - its a great buy and high quality product. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a car seat for a great price.

The Cosco Deluxe is wider than other booster seats which makes it easy for winter jackets and coats. The recliner is an added bonus. The harness is a little time consuming to connect each time compared to a regular carseat, but if your child meets the weight guidelines, then it is farely easy to use the vehicle's seatbelt. It also has 2 straps that attach to the rings in the seat of the vehicle (don't remember the technical name) but it is an added safety measure that our old car seat did not have. Also, it is cushioned throughout the back and seat instead of just against your child's back. The Cosco Deluxe is reasonably priced, is very light weight, yet sturdy. It's a good buy!

This appears to be a pretty decent car seat. We've been using it for a little over a month. Our two year old likes that it boosts him up a little higher than his previous seat. It's easy to use/install/adjust. I think it had a $120 price tag on it, but was on sale for 50% off. It's a reasonable value as a $60 car seat.

I purchased this car seat without having done a lot of research. I have since found out that the "Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute" listed this seat as one of 13 that they don't recommend as it doesn't "put children in the best position to be protected in a crash." Had I better researched this seat beforehand, I would not have purchased it.

I absolutly love this car seat. It is big and comfy and my little girl loves sittin in it it seems. the seat cover is WONDERFUL for spills which was the only hesitation i has about buyin one online- i could not see the fabric and i wanted one that was easy to clean. But it turned out perfectly.
br /
br /The reclining feature is by far one of my favorites. I can just reach rite back while driving and recline her if she falls asleep. it is easy to install, and while it is a little tricky to get the seat cover on and off, as long as you follow the instructions it is no problem.
br /
br /The only reason i gave it four stars was the packing. the box was a bit smashed when it got here and there was no kind of protection inside the box for the seat. However the seat was in no way damaged- they just need to work on better packin methods, cuz not every seat may arrive as well as mine.
br /
br /I would reccommend this car seat to anyone- the price is amazing and the product is wonderful

Overall great for the price!

br /Seat is easy to install, and my 2.5 year old loves it. He switched over to it easily.
br /
br /The buckles do slip down, but it's not too terribly difficult to get them back up ... a bit annoying but that's alright.
br /
br /Another annoying thing is the cup holder ... great feature, but it's only on the left side of the car seat. If you put the car seat on the left side of the car, then the cup holder is pushed up against the door frame and totally unusable. If the seat is in the middle or right side of the car, then it's okay. Again, slightly annoying but nothing serious.

I hate to write this review because it will sound so cranky, but here goes:
br /Maybe we're spoiled, but the latch clips on this seat are bare bones metal clips instead of the seatbelt-like ones on our Britax products. They were nearly impossible to clip into the car, and wouldn't stay tight once they were clipped in. (We had to resort to using the car seatbelt, which was what we had tried to avoid in the first place by buying a LATCH compatible seat.) The rear tether is so hard to tighten it's ridiculous (involves threading over and under and over again in an 8-shaped buckle, and in our Jetta, at least, could not be tightened while clipped.) We had to unclip, tighten, unclip, tighten, etc. to get it to an acceptable level. Then when we wiggled the seat to check the secureness, it loosened and slid all over. (the seatbelt was tightly ratcheted, so it wasn't that it was installed improperly.)
br /The base is large and has open edges which leave an impression on the car's upholstery immediately, and the final straw was that once my son was in, the belts were twisty and skinny. We returned it the next day.

I purchased this car seat for my granddaughter and use it 2 - 3 times a week. I find the hooks difficulty to open when a child is in it. I don't have the patience and time to deal with it with a nine month old also in the car. The seat itself is fine and easy to attach to the car itself.

Although the seat itself is very nice, I was extremely disappointed in the way it attached to the vehicle. The way the straps fastened and tightened was very unsatisfactory. The buckles did not tighten securely and the the release mechanism was frustrating at best. Look for better attachments!!

We were in a car accident and the insurance company made us get rid of the seat that was in our car during the accident. Our daughter was at that in between stage where she is not quite ready for a booster but too big for alot child/toddler seats so this was our compromise. Sofar it has been great. It is black/gray and looks good in our car as well as being eaay to buckle and install.

The Cosco Summit High Back Car Seat arrived in 8 days with regular shipping. Upon opening, the seat was exactly as I had pictured it to be. I had read the previous consumer reviews and was aware of the "buckle/straps too short" complaint... and, yes, the strap/buckle could be better redesigned to accommodate growing human legs... but decided that this seat was the best BANG for the buck - $74.54. Which it is.

br /My 2 1/2 year old daughter was filled with glee upon inspection. She exclaimed, "Look at the sparkles, Momma". Phew! That hurdle conquered. (I had thought, as I placed my order, that a little girl might not appreciate the practicality of a dark color.) There does, however, exist a "sparkle" in the silver metallic fabric that is not visible in the photos available online. She loves her "big girl car seat".

br /I hope that I was able to aid you in your quest! :)

My daughter loves this seat!!! I could barely get it out of the box and she was trying to sit in it. Once I put it together (before actually installing it in the car), my daughter sat in the chair to watch television. We left in on the floor for her until we had to install it in the car. We've already gone on a trip to NY and my daughter was very comfortable. I love the recline feature when she falls asleep. Not a bad price either. The only thing that gave this a 4-star rating was the box was partially opened when it was delivered. After inspecting to make sure there weren't any defects it was fine. Other than that, I would definitely recommend. We plan on buying a second one for Grandma's car!!!

I would definitely recommend this booster seat. I searched all over for a seat that had all the features I wanted for a great price. I haven't used the cupholder yet but my daughter loves the armrests and she moves them up and down alot. I bought a second one for our other car because I liked how easy the shoulder straps are to adjust. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because sometimes the straps do get twisted and the recline feature is so so.

This car seat is easy to take in and out of the car. Needs to have a piece of padding around the latch that comes between the legs. We have pinched little legs once or twice because this is lacking.

We bought this seat for our second car when my 4 year old got too tall for her convertible seat. I like it so much, I'm using it in my car and I put the first booster seat I bought (a less expensive Cosco seat) in the second car. My daughter is still using it with the harness straps, because she is under 40 lbs- but she says it is comfortable. So far, it has been easy to use and we have not had problems with twisted straps. It looks really nice, too.

We purchased 2 and have been using them for a couple of months. We have had no problems and they work great. We have one in my wife's Chevy Cobalt using the LATCH system and one in my Nissan Titan using the seat belt. This seat works well in either configuration, they are both very secure.

I did a lot of review reading to decide on a car seat. I ended up looking at the ones recommended for safety and selected this one. Not only is it safe, but the night when I was setting it up, my daughter sat in it, wiggled around to settle herself and then SMILED because it's comfortable too!! I had a task of getting her out of the seat to continue the adjustments.
br /
br /I was a little confused by all the seatbelt requirements. The box did come a little crushed. I'm not sure that the product details specifically say that it's for children 1 year and over - it mentioned height and weight limitations - so make sure and note that!!!

I bought this last week. I decided upon this seat due to research price. The seat is wide comfortable with a head rest movable arm rests. It reclines with just one hand, which make is very comfortable on trips. The adjustable harness is a breeze!! No pulling out the straps, just a movable bar which makes it fast to change size. The material will be easily washable, and is a nice color. The seat is very sturdy also. This seat has everything I was looking for in a booster seat. Looks function!!! I give it a A+!!!

I just bought this, and it was delivered to me couple of days ago. The first I noticed was that the shipping box was cracked open, it almost lost it's shape completely, and barely sticking together by some packing tape. I thought someone has rummage through it, but everything was inside (as far as I can tell).
br /
br /The Summit was quite nice to look at. It took me about 20 minutes to go through the manual and make all the adjustments, and 20 more minutes to mount it inside my car. It's quite large, and feel sturdy. I especially like the recline feature, and my daughter likes it too. The bottom of the seat is not well cushioned, so long trips may be a bit tough on her bottom. The 5-point harness works well, and is fairly adjustable.
br /
br /Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. If BabyAge can strengthen the packaging for shipping, I would give it 4 stars.

I recently order the Cosco Summit High Back seat for my son. I did not realized until after I received the seat that this is only a forward facing seat! My son is six months old an my understanding is that he needs to be rear-facing until 1 year. I had to do a lot of Google searching on this item to find out that it is a forward only seat. It is not clearly spelled out until you get into the actual product manual.
br /
br /I liked the seat and my son fit fine (he's a big kid), but it is very hard to determine what seats work for what parameters (weight, height, age, forward, back, booster, latch, etc). I wish the industry came out with some sort of color code / number system that parents could make a quick determination if the seat was going to meet their needs. I think this would cut down in the reported high rate of "incorrect" car seat installations.

My husband had it in his truck and I had a Britax Marathon in my car. He had trouble securing the seat, the straps are flimsy and I hate the buckle. When my brother gave us one of those little booster seats that are just a bottom and 2 arm rests, we ditched the Eddie Baur and are just using that in my husband's vehicle. My son is 5yrs and 50lbs so well within the age to use just a booster. My husband did not want to keep the Eddie Baur as a booster b/c he said it flopped around too much when son was getting into and out of it. My husband would have to climb in the back of his truck to hold the seat steady so my son could get in and out. I do not have that problem with my Britax Parkway booster seat.
