This seat is so easy to put together, place in the vehicle and strap a child in to, it is definitely worth every penny. Safety ratings on this seat are great. It is also convenient that, when the child is old enough to move on to a booster without a backrest, the backrest is removable.
Our daughter loves the cupholders for snacks and drinks.
She also loves that she can climb in and out of the seat by herself, which is good for her self-confidence as she grows up.
We use this seat between 2 cars and it is easily removed and replaced with a simple slide of the seat belt. The seat is even color-coded to show where the belt should be placed across the shoulder and the waist.
Definitely a great product.

I own this seat for my son who is age 6. It is the law in my state that children must in a booster or car seat until age 8. The seat material is high quality and the cushioning is very comfotable. The headrest is perfect for long trips since my son can fall asleep without an annoying crick in his neck. The price is decent too.
The only issue I have with this seat is the cupholders. If you have a regular sedan and want to fit others in your car, the cupholders aren't very usable. Additionally, the cupholders don't slide out very well when the child is sitting in the seat. Personally, I leave the cupholders pushed in. I have another carseat for a young infant in my sedan and must fit my 10-year old in the back seat.
I wish carseat and booster seat makers would instead make a mesh bag pocket hang right off the botton front for kid toys and such. Furthermore, with booster seats in general, I think they are very impractical for families who need to fit 3 kids across the backseat. My son has a very hard time buckling his seat belt because he must reach to the side where space is at a premium.
I would love a forward-facing booster seat with a 5-point harness that would lock into the LATCH loops for the older child. Not only is a 5-point seat harness safer but it is much easier for a child to buckle themselves instead of reaching around to the side.
As far as the options available for a child who has outgrown a convertible seat but is too small for a regular seat belt, this is a nice option.

We are thrilled with this product. We had to buy three for our triplets and were just so happy with the price and very satisfied with the quality as well. The kids can buckle themselves in and those days of struggling with the harness for the car seat are over! Thank Goodness! No more twisted up belts, etc. These are great, washable covers, etc. They were simple to put together, minimal assembly and they are so easy to put in and out of the car. I definitely recommend them to any parent looking for a good deal with great value of product. You can't go wrong with this one.

My 3 & 4 year olds absolutely love their new "big boy" seats with their own cup holders. The seat gives a really nice support system using the in car seat belts. The head, neck and shoulders are all supported nicely. I would absolutely recommend this item to someone who is ready to upgrade from the baby seats.

With the new (Summer, 2007) law in Washington that extends the booster seat years to age 8, I needed to purchase a new booster for my older daughter. She likes this bright red seat. It's comfortable, and she's eased back into booster-seat riding without protest.
The seat was easy to set up, and was in the back seat of our Volvo in minutes.
This review would be 5 stars if Graco had come up with a new concept for booster seats--ones that are soft, not hard plastic, perhaps, and quite inexpensive. Something that would encourage everyone who might drive a kid around to get one or--or maybe even car manufacturers to include one per seat as standard. Something that won't soon be a big pile in the landfill.
With this seat, Graco has provided a solid option for the current design standard. But they haven't innovated.

We bought an earlier model of this seat when my son was 4, and we are still using it as he turns 8. We have one in each of our two cars, and we keep a third out on the west coast for when we are there traveling. Unlike the other review currently posted for this seat, we have really loved the cupholders - there is room for them to pop out in our car, so they are kept out all the time. They work for water bottles, crayons, little plastic toys, etc.
It has held up well to abuse, adjusts to different sizes, looks sporty, and generally gets a thumbs up.

Seems like it works great so far. My daughter says she's comfortable in it, and looks happier being in her big-girl car seat. The 5-point restraint car seat is still the best for her, as she is just 35 pounds, so I'm using this booster as the "extra" for now, like when she needs to go on classroom field trips or we ride in grandma's or a friend's car. I also like that this car seat eventually converts to a backless booster that she can keep using as long as legally required in our state. The only drawback is that this is a car seat that requires parents' teaching and limit-setting with those independent kiddos that figure out they can unbuckle by themselves now! One thing about the Britax that we still use in my car -- she cannot unbuckle that thing by herself, which affords me a lot of security on the road.

Kids love the color and the cup holders - two kids/two seats. My husband and I like the fit and the way the cross belt doesn't drive them crazy anymore. We needed one more car seat for our trip home to see parents and then planned on taking it home with us. My Mom liked the car seat so much that she kept it for the cousins and ordered us a new one shipped to our house. Good Booster Seat. Worth the extra cost and the back can come off later.

This is our second Graco Turbobooster with the GracoPedic padding. Compared to Graco's other standard Turboboosters, you get a little more padding with this unit. The kids think they are very comfortable and never complain even on long rides.

This seat is good for short trips. My daughter loves the colors on this seat, but complains about a sore rear end after about half an hour due to a lack of seat padding. She also has a hard time sleeping on trips due to the upright positioning of the seat- her head bobs forward and she gets a stiff neck. Since the seat needs to be flush against the back of the actual car seat, it's not adjustable for comfort. It's kind of a pain to move between cars too- the seat back releases very easily from the base and we keep dropping the base. It just feels flimsy. The stationary armrests make it difficult to buckle the seat belt and adjust it. It'd be great if they flipped up out of the way.

The main problem I have with this product is the fact that my son slumps all the way over when he falls asleep. It's the most frustrating thing because it doesn't make me feel okay that he's safe in the seat. I've tried making sure the seat belt is locked to hold him but he still falls right over and I constantly have to reach back and push him up. Also, the cup holders are not that deep to prevent cups from falling out. Also complains about his bottom hurting and he's not sitting on anything except the seat.

We've had this seat for 6 months, and I'm now shopping for a new booster seat that is more comfortable for my daughter. She's 4 yrs/33 lbs. and fits nicely in this seat, but it's only comfortable for short drives. We go on long (5hr.+) car trips, and there is almost NO padding in this seat! She starts complaining after 1/2 hour of sitting that her rump hurts and her legs are falling alseep. My son has an older booster seat that has a wider seat and A LOT more padding built in and he rarely complains. My daughter doesn't complain when she sits in his seat either. I just don't think it's comfortable for her.

br /PROS: Pink, cute design, looks good, light weight, easy to move, 2 good cup holders
br /CONS: Not enough padding, seat falls apart every time I pick it up to move it (back of seat easily falls off, which is irritating when you're in a hurry).
br /
br /Don't buy this seat if you'll be doing any long car trips!

The booster seat itself is fine, though I would like a way to more securely attach it. i bought this model because our 7 year old grandson had grown too tall for the other "up to 10 years" etc car seat. I believed that the height adjustment to be a good feature, and the protection at sides of head to be an advantage on a long trip if the child fell asleep. Our grandson was excited about this seat, and got into it, only to immediately exclaim, "it is too tight"..his shoulders were indeed squashed. I know broad shoulders run in our family, however he is a slender child, and well proportioned, so I believe his shoulders should have been accommodated. He is now using only the booster seat. I am disappointed. The entire item went together easily, and seemed durable, however cannot be used as I had hoped.

The seat is easy to install and a toddler fits into it nicely and comfortably. It's lightweight, which makes it easy to take in and out of the car. It relys on the seat/shoulder belt to secure the child, which would work in an emergency, but to me it seems a little too insecure otherwise. I prefer the unit tethered.

I purchased this for my 4 year old. He loves it, it is comfortable, and it was very easy to put together. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to buckle him because of the arm rests. If they rotated or flipped up, it would be much easier. As a result, he can't buckle himself anymore. I think safety and comfort wise, it's great, but getting the child in could use improvement.

I really like this booster. I like Graco. I like how it is really easy to set up and get ready to use. The only thing that I didn't like is that it's really hard for my 5 year old to fastent the seat belt through the little space between the back of the booster and the armrest. She Can't get it to work on her own. I think that if the arm rest wasn't there, she would be able to do up the seat belt on her own.

I bought this last year for my above average in size 2 year old. I chose this seat because I trust Graco and the price was low. The seat has held up great. Actually it still looks new. There is plenty of room to grow. He still uses the back of the seat, but probably for only one more growth spurt. I truely think this will be the last car seat I will have to buy. Thanks Graco!

versatile booster..moderately priced..like that it adjusts so that you can adjust the adult seat back when child falls asleep and the booster moves with it to enable child to sleep without head flopping around. Just a base seat booster would do that as well but without the extra side head support for the child.

Great seat as far as comfort and fit, but my four year old is a bit to fidgity to sit in a car seat with an adult shoulder belt. I still prefer the SafeGuard Go Booster with 5-point harness. We told him it's like the race car drivers use and he loves it.

I am pleased with this car seat except for 1 issue...The arm rests do not go high enough for older children. They have two settings and even on the highest setting the seat belt is hard to get under the armrest and over my daughters legs. Other than that it is easy to take the back rest off and adjustable for head height.

We bought this seat with the high back because our four-year old son is rather petite and hasn't reached the 40 lb. threshold for the seat alone. Assembling it was rather easy, but connecting the back to the seat required some brute force and swearing. Once together, the back wobbles a bit and easily falls back from a 90 degree angle. This worried me initially, mainly because I was so accustomed to the sturdiness of the Britax toddler carseat we had been using, but I don't think it has been a safety issue. Of course, I still don't know if this is how it is supposed to be, but the seat is solid when installed in the car. Our car's backseat prevents the Graco seatback from falling. It is easy to install...in fact install is to vigorous a word. You simply set the booster seat on the carseat and feed the shoulder strap of the seat belt through the holder. Voila! Done. My son loves the big boy feeling and calls the seat his "Ionic." Thankfully we haven't been in any accidents since buying this seat (and hopefully we won't be in any in the future), but it appears to be of good quality and restrains him adequately during normal drives.
These are great!

We bought 2 of these for our sons, ages 6 4 1/2. The boys love their seats. The cushioning they sit on is much more comfortable and thicker than any other seat I've seen. My only complaint is about the reclining hinge; it doesn't hold well. This isn't a problem when the seat is on a car seat with a sleeping kid in it BUT every time I have to move the car seat (from one seat to another or one car to another) the hinge lets go, and the pieces (back base) separate. It's a little frustrating. The reclining option is great, no more sore necks or slumped over kids but I think they could have designed it better. All in all, I would definitely buy them again.

Love the seat, but the back is too upright and my 3 yr old's head is always falling forward when he sleeps. The seat back reclines, but only if the vehicle seat reclines too (which the middle row seats of our suburban do not). I've tried propping a couple books behind it to help with reclining, but can't get enough of an angle to resolve the head slumping ... plus I'm sure it's not as safe. Anyway, now I'm trying to find a travel pillow to buy to address this issue!

My 4 year old daughter loves it. She's able to do the seatbelt herself and the head protection keeps her head from going down when she falls asleep. It is very easy to move as well from her typical 2nd row seat in the van to the back row when grandparents are riding in the car. The cupholders are very reachable for her. A great investment overall.

I love love love this seat- the seatbelt is able to move freely- more like it is intended. We have another booster seat that I'm finally kicking to the curb by buying my third Graco booster- the other seat holds the seatbelt in a buckle so that it doesn't move- this doesn't allow it to even conform to my child. The Graco one operates as a true booster seat should- allows the seatbelt to operate as though she were seated in an adult seat. I plan to take the bottom part with me on an airline trip so that I have a ready-to-go booster chair for the airplane and then on the ground for the rental. It will be WAY better then trying to lug a full-sized car-seat through checked luggage or renting those overpriced ones from the agency-

This seat came mostly assembled...all I had to do was pop the arms on, connect the back to the seat and secure the cover around a couple of hooks. I really like that it can convert to a backless booster later. Getting my daughter set up in the seat is so easy...about as easy as putting on a seatbelt normally. The shoulder belt threads quickly through one slot (this slot is on both sides so it doesn't matter which side of the car you put the seat on), then all you have to do is make sure it and the lap belt are always under the armrests. My girl is only 4 years old and she can almost do it herself. It's very lightweight, but doesn't feel flimsy at all. It also comes in a variety of colors/designs. My daughter loves the two little pop-out cupholders. I actually ended up buying two of these...one stays in my boyfriend's car, which is the car we ride in most often, and I have a second one that I keep in the closet, just in case we ride in someone else's car.

I'm the Grandma of a very small 7-year old. My biggest concern was to find a booster whose seat belt would fit him. This one was perfect, without adjustment.
br /Additionally, this is the most easily installed seat ever. It is light weight and is simple to move in and out of the car without any problem. I was also thrilled to find that it was one of the safest rated boosters in a recent recall.

I took the time to research and read reviews about booster seats just to be sure that the one I purchased would be worth it. So far, I did my job well because the Graco Turbobooster is exactly what I wanted. It was easy to assemble, the seat is padded nicely (just like it says), and my son has a ball with his cupholders (used mainly for holding cars) and the neck pillow- which he uses EVERY time we get in the car. I am very, VERY satisfied with this booster seat!!!

I bought this for my 4 year old granddaughter to use when she is riding in my car. Although her old seat converted to a booster, she reminded me everytime she rode in in, "Grandma, I'm not a baby any more".
br /It went together fairly easially, and it is simple to use. The pink fairy tale design will please any little girl. She loves the seat and says "it feels cushy". My last seat was also a Graco, which had excellent safety ratings. That was my main reason for choosing this one.

This is my 3 1/2 year old daughters first "big girl" seat. I love it because it keeps her buckled in tight and safe and she loves it because of the cup holders, colors, etc... She shows everyone that ride with us that the cup holders go in and out and shows the flower pattern on her seat. I am happy I made this purchase and I got a GREAT DEAL on Amazon.com

this has great support, fits into the car seatbelt perfectly and provides head support for the little one to take a nap when needed. Our granddaughter loves this chair and so do we. It is easy to hook up and makes us feel we are keeping the children safe.

LOVE IT!!! The best part is how the belt goes through! It keeps it off her neck but is easy enough to remove or put on to quickly get the seat in and out of the car. Plus I love the bright colors, nothing blah. It makes her very feel like a big girl while I know she's safe and comfortable.

This seat is exactly what my daughter wanted. It has a removable back so you can use it whichever way you choose. The fabric seems to be holding up nicely; though it has not had a washing yet. All in all it is great!

After reading many reviews on different booster seats that had removable backs, I decided on this one. The padding around the seat is very comfortable, and my son loves the pillow and the cup holders that come with it. He also loves the fact that he can unbuckle himself (once we're to our destination, of course). The seat stays in place very well, and we don't have any trouble pulling it in and out of the vehicles, when needed. Excellent product, and we're completely satisfied.
Best purchase ever!!!

I love this seat! It is so light weight so it is easily transfered from different vehicles. My son thinks he's such a big boy b/c he can undo the seatbeat. The seat is also very easy to clean. My husband and I are actually going to buy another one so he can just leave it in his truck.

This is such a wonderful booster seat. It is easy to use and three fit perfectly in the backseat with enough room for each of them to use a cup holder. The high back holds them in nicely and I highly recommend this booster.

Ordered this Graco TurboBooster car seat to save the parents of our 2-year-old Grandson the hassle of checking his car seat as luggage whenever they fly here to visit. About 10 minutes of simple assembly was required and now it's a nice sturdy unit that's very easy to switch from one vehicle to another. Most importantly: Our grandson loves it! Because it's convertible to a booster seat, he and his smaller sister will be able to use it for many years. We are extremely pleased with this Graco car seat and with the consistantly prompt shipping provided by Amazon.com.

My daughter loves her fairy tales booster seat, and frankly I'm over the moon for something so easy to install!! My daughter had figured out how to move the chest plate of her 5-point harness around, so it was time for a change. This seat is easy to carry, easy to install, and my daughter loves the design so much she actually wants to get in her carseat.

br /It does have to be put together - but my husband did it in minutes. There was a minimum of work involved.

br /I would recommend this to any mom!

We bought this booster for our three year old daughter. Yes, it looks good..but there are some cons to it. Whenever you take the carseat out of the car, the back falls off. And its not very easy to get back together, especially with a kid in your hands. The other issue I had with it is that it is not easy to clean. A few spills on this thing and the washer cannot get the stains out. Very bad material for a carseat.
The other review suggested that the headrest is perfect. I disagree. My daughter usually ends up leaning completely over in this thing with her head on her knees. The headrest didn't prove useful at all, just blocked the view of my daughter looking out the window.

This seat was perfect for what we needed. It's nice and light, so easy to move around if we need to. My 3 year old son is a fan of Little Einsteins and I guess because it's red he calls it his "Rocket seat" and seems to really like it. I was a little nervous about him only being restrained by the seat belt (and when he had it in on of our cars, he was able to reach the seat belt button and escape-which was a little scary) but in the main car we use it in, he can't reach the button and it seems to do the trick.

My son is 2 1/2 but is the size of a 4-year old so, due to height and weight (and the fact that he doesn't pull on seatbelts, etc.), he was ready for the transition to a booster.
For the price, this is a great product. It's incredibly easy to assemble and, since the shoulder/lap belt is the only thing holding it in place, there is no installation, per se.
My son likes the armrests, the space it provides compared to his old carseat and the head-support is much better (no more head-bobbing when he falls asleep).
Those making the transition to a booster might be surprised that there is no LATCH system. I was not necessarily comfortable with the shoulder/lap belt being the only means of security/fitting, so I actually took the LATCH belt off of the old carseat and used it to provide extra stability and security for the Graco TurboBooster. Not saying you'd want to do that, but it works for me!

As grandparents, we dreaded the "high-tech" installation of the infant carrier base, then the genius IQ required to figure out the how the latches work on the toddler car seats. Now, this Graco booster seat is easy-in and easy-out. What a relief! And it is sturdy, well-made and completely safe and secure for the child. Our 3+ year old grandson loves it, and is especially proud of having his own "cup holder" on the side. A good product worth the price.

The carseat is very cute and my daughter loves it, but it does not seem safe. It doesn't fit securly to the chair nor does the seatbeat seem to secure her over the carseat. It needs to be able to lock the belt.

My 3 ½ year old was ready for a "big girl car seat," so my husband and I did our research. After reading everything we could find on the subject, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the GRACO TURBOBOOSTER CAR SEAT is not only one of the highest rated by Consumer Reports, it also is very reasonably priced! And to top it off, it is available in a wide range of colors, which allowed my wee one to pick exactly the car seat she wanted.
br /
br /The GRACO TURBOBOOSTER CAR SEAT is actually two booster seats in one: a high-backed booster seat for kids three years old and at least 38 inches and 30 pounds, and a backless booster for kids 4 to 10 years old and at least 40 inches and 40 pounds. It is very easy to convert between the two modes, and the convertible feature adds to the over all value by extending the life of your purchase.
br /
br /The GRACO TURBOBOOSTER CAR SEAT has many great safety features including a height adjustable head support that grows with your child, a seat belt guide that properly positions the car seat belt on your child's shoulder, and an EPS energy absorbing foam liner. The seat also has a number of convenience features such as padded, height adjustable armrests, hide away cup holders, two reclining positions, and a seat cover that is easily removed for machine washing.
br /
br /The GRACO TURBOBOOSTER CAR SEAT assembles effortlessly and is a snap to install. Your car's seat belt locks the seat into place; there is very little movement once my daughter is properly strapped in. The seat is apparently very comfortable; my daughter falls asleep quite easily, and maintains an upright position. The padded head positioner, which looks like the "wings" on a wing chair, keeps her from slumping. Overall, if you follow the age, height, and weight guidelines, follow the installation instructions, and check the proper positioning and tightness of the seat belt EVERY TIME you buckle your child in, your big kid will be safe and comfortable.
br /
br /Of course, in my daughter's eyes, the best part was getting to choose the color herself. She chose HEARTS DELIGHT - very pink and covered in hearts with crowns, princesses, and other fun, totally girly things. She loves it, and is very proud that she got to pick it out. Safe, comfy, and happy...what more could you ask for?

My son is 3 1/2 and this is the FIRST seat of his that I was able to assemble and get into the car without one ounce of help from my husband. All others left me frustrated and baffled. I have overcome my fear of kids seats with this one! Next you'll find me out back putting up the swing set all on my own ;-) Loooove it.
